Morning Checkup: Breast Cancer Awareness Month
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Jennifer Phillips is a family nurse practitioner at the Walker Center for Cancer Care at Samaritan Medical Center. She says October is a good month to focus on breast care in general.
It’s also a reminder to get a mammogram if you haven’t had one recently. Women 40 or older with no personal or family history of breast cancer should have a mammogram each year.
Watch the video for her interview during Samaritan’s Morning Checkup segment on 7 News This Morning.
