Deborah established Innovate Your Baby in 2010 when she realized that there was a scarcity of solid simple information for new parents to help them give their babies the best brain development start in life. She has established herself as an expert on baby brain development and speaks to mothers and parents to help show them how simple it is to help their babies develop from the first day home from the hospital. Through innovative concepts and activities, and lots of fun and humor, Deborah shows parents the simple program that takes little time and pays big dividends for their children.
Deborah's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Kansas; a Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Iowa and doctoral work at Indiana University in Physiology.
Deborah began her career with MCI Telecommunications, where she established herself as an innovation leader and highly-skilled process development expert. After leaving MCI she went on to become the Vice President of Shared Services at Limited Brands where she was responsible for developing innovative organizational structures, leading edge processes and state of the art technology systems. She served as a consultant with Deloitte and Touche as well as a Vice President with Nestle where she optimized a failing organization through innovative processes and organizational structures.
She left the corporate world to focus on starting a family and gave birth to her daughter in 2010 after decades of infertility. She wanted to give her baby the best start in life and started researching what the experts recommend for developing babies' brains. She applied those concepts to her daughter and developed 10 fun and simple principles that she followed every day. These 10 principles eventually became the "Daily 10".
Deborah and her daughter live with their three dogs and two cats splitting time between Nebraska and Colorado where they spend as much time as possible outside.
