Garrett Domblewski

7News Tonight Anchor / Assistant News Director
WWNY
Garrett Domblewski

Garrett came to 7News in February 2016 as an intern.

He joined the reporting staff full-time that June after graduating from SUNY Oswego.

He has reported on countless stories.

He's won awards for his series on the growth of the fentanyl problem, the state of dairy farms and how much farmers are paid for their milk, Arts All-Star stories featuring north country students, and for our annual Heart of the North Country special.

In 2019 Garrett took a job as a new producer in Memphis.

He worked on the morning and noon newscasts, wrote and edited the Mid-South Heroes segment, helped produce a two-hour special production for the 2019 Sugar Bowl game, and after COVID began, helped launch a half-hour of news that addressed all things COVID.

In June 2020, Garrett returned to WWNY-TV to become the anchor of our 10 and 11 pm newscasts.

In June 2022 he became Assistant News Director.

Outside of work you'll find Garrett hiking in the Adirondacks, kayaking the St. Lawrence River, on the golf course or reading in Thompson Park.
