Reverse Advent Calendar to benefit South Jeff backpack program
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - It’s called a Reverse Advent Calendar, and it benefits the South Jefferson backpack program.
Nellie Mathous and Betsy Roberts are members of the South Jeff class of 1982, which is organizing the drive. Instead of a normal advent calendar where you receive something, with this one, you give something.

The idea is to donate one item each day through December 9. There’s a list on the South Jeff backpack program Facebook page. The items can be dropped off at Jreck Subs in Adams.
There will also be a food drive at Sam’s Club and Walmart from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 25.
